HISTORY – The Prostitute-Busting Policewomen of 1960s Hong Kong

“The policewomen of Hong Kong might seem like Sleeping Beauties, but they’re serious business.”

Filmed for Italian documentary ‘La Donna Nel Mundo.’ (‘Women of the World’), this English narrated version explores the lives of women across various cultures around the world. Most of the footage was shot in 1962 and the segment below deals with female police-officers in a barely-recognisable colonial Hong Kong…

Interesting find, thanks. I’m not familiar with a Sago Lane in Hong Kong, and Google doesn’t suggest that there’s ever been one. The video struck me as very staged, did they make the address up too? Or is it a road long renamed or erased from the map?
