POLITICS – Time Out Tycoons Feature 7

Fellow Hong Kong blogger, Hemlock, of ‘Big Lychee, Various Sectors‘ fame has penned an excellent feature for Time Out Magazine about the city’s overarching tycoons.

I wrote in 2009 of how under-regulation in HK (all in the name of ‘free trade’) meant less choice for its citizens. Hemlock has a much better, and more detailed, analysis of how flimsy competition/anti-monopoly laws allow a small handful of rich, old men to run our lives.

There seems to be a welcome shift at Time Out to more political/current affairs content, which actually marks a return to the magazine’s activist roots.
