Headlining this year’s music instalment is the acclaimed UK musician Jacob Collier. Twenty-year-old Collier, who is set to launch his debut album this year, is hailed for his stunning ability to create “a digital one-man band using contemporary technology: multitrack recording, looping pedals, and a strange Vocoder-like program that enables him to sing audacious harmonies through a Novation keyboard,” says The Guardian of the UK.

Netizens and journalists rip Xi Jinping’s surreal tour of state media outlets

Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a visit to the Beijing headquarters of three state media outlets on Friday – CCTV, People’s Daily and Xinhua News Agency.

His visit generated much excitement among mainland Chinese reporters graced by his presence, with CCTV especially proud of their “exclusive”.

A banner spotted at the office stated: “CCTV’s family is The Party; Absolute loyalty; Please inspect us”.
