International groups are voicing their support for Hong Kong’s pro-democracy movement through petitions, protests, Yellow Ribbon Days and solidarity actions.
On Sunday, in Toronto, Canada, there will be an assembly to support the upcoming Hong Kong student strike.
On Monday, students at Australian universities are holding a Yellow Ribbon Day in solidarity with those boycotting classes. Participating universities include the University of Queensland, University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney, Deakin University, Monash University, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Queensland University of Technology, Macquarie University, the Australian National University and the University of Technology.
Next Saturday, September 27th, campaigners across the world are set to unite behind Hong Kongers in a Global Solidarity Day. So far, demonstrations have been organised in London, New York, San Francisco and Vancouver.
