EVENTS – International Tattoo Convention Opens Today

Hong Wrong will be attending Hong Kong’s first International Tattoo Convention this weekend. Tickets are HK$100 for day entry from Ticketflap. Opens today through till Sunday, 18+ only, noon till 11pm each day.

“The convention is a way to showcase local talent, and tell the international community that we’re here, and to break the Chinese stereotypes that tattoos are only for the bad guys.” – organiser Gabe Shum told the SCMP.


The convention includes…

  • Artists from Britain, US, Japan, S.Africa, France, Taiwan, Holland, Spain, China, Germany, Poland, Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, Hong Kong.
  • Live “Yantra” tattooing by Thai Buddhist monk.
  • Artist Competitions.

  • Graffiti & Street Art.
  • Food & Drink.
  • Tattoo Equipment.
  • Silverware & Thai Buddhist Accessories.
  • Traditional Asian Wood Carving.
