Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio and Nicky Hilton were among others spotted at Hong Kong Art Basel 2016 on Tuesday evening, as the city buzzed with excitement in anticipation of the upcoming series of art events this week.
The actor, who received his first Oscar win for his role in The Revenant last month, was seen at the art fair’s launch event at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on Tuesday afternoon. He was in Beijing just days ago to promote the movie, Apple Daily reported.

DiCaprio was accompanied by a bodyguard as well as a woman with blond hair and sunglasses. Many who spotted him started taking pictures and one asked him for a photo, but was politely rejected. After viewing the exhibition, he left through a VIP route, accompanied by a group of bodyguards.
According to Bloomberg reporter Frederik Balfour, following the event DiCaprio boarded his private jet and enjoyed food from Duddells, courtesy of Alan Lo and Yenn Wong.

Other celebrities spotted at the Art Basel preview session on Tuesday include South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo, and retired Japanese football player Hidetoshi Nakata. Socialite Paris Hilton also tweeted that she would in town for a DJ set a nightclub Dragon-i.
