POLITICS – Lantau Incinerator a Load of Old Rubbish 4

Is this another gift to the bloated tycoons from the government? It seems to be in the vein of other highly expensive infrastructure white elephants, such as Stonecutter’s bridge, the Macau Bridge to Nowhere, West Kowloon, the GZ rail link, artificial islands etc…

Or, then again, is it neccessary owing to how our waste builds up with fewer places to put it? Here’s a better summary of what the government are thinking and here is a rightly sceptical response from Hemlock over at the excellent Big Lychee blog.
