Somewhat of a ‘new’ artistic medium, Cinemagraphs are defined as ‘still photographs in which a minor and repeated movement occurs’. They are animated GIFs but give the illusion of video. It is a format popularised and christened by US fashion news photographers Kevin Burg and Jamie Beck.
HK is a city which lends itself beautifully well to this format, as demonstrated by South African photographer Sean Creamer on his Tumblr. The images below may take a while to load…
